She is a bright, handmade rag doll whose favourite film is, of course, the Pirates of the Caribbean. She is named after one of her best characters, Tia Dalma, who is secretly Calypso, the goddess of the sea. Tia loves watching the huge waves crash against the rocks on a stormy night, and her embroidered brown eyes are captivated by the lightning on the horizon.

She has a little button nose and long black hair braided into two plaits which are secured by red ribbons. She also has a red felt hat with a wooden ‘handmade’ button on.

Tia is wearing a cream pinafore covered in a fabulous print of pirates and pirate ships. It is edged with red ribbon and scalloped lace. Her dress underneath is a coordinating fabric- this time a blue wave print with more pirate ships and even a few cheeky octopus tentacles! This is trimmed with red ribbon. Tia is also wearing a matching blue spotty petticoat with a white net underskirt and pantaloons. These are again trimmed with lace and red ribbon, and she has striped tights and red felt shoes with red ribbon bows.

Tia comes with her jolly roger rabbit who is the scourge of the seas! He is made from white felt, with a red and green ribbon necktie. His ears are lined with cream pirate material and he has matching fabric patches.

Tia is approximately 45cm (17.5“) tall and her rabbit companion is 25cm (9.5“) tall.
